Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 or relevant NQF Level 4 qualification (required)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As an Administration Clerk, your main duties will include:

  • Logging onto the system for attendance and operational tracking as per standard procedures
  • Performing hospital rounds, delivering reports, and collecting specimens in line with protocols
  • Sorting and organizing collection and delivery reports by route for efficient turnaround
  • Recording reference numbers as proof of collection or delivery
  • Preparing cooler bags with ice for specimen collection in compliance with safety standards
  • Collecting and delivering specimens internally and between depots, ensuring timely delivery
  • Assisting with specimen registration, receiving, and dispatching for processing
  • Scanning specimen barcodes for proper tracking and system documentation
  • Monitoring courier deliveries to ensure timely receipt and processing of samples
  • Maintaining stock levels and managing supply orders for consistent lab functionality
  • Receiving and banking patient payments according to financial procedures
  • Driving between sites when required for collection and delivery of samples and reports
