Minimum Requirements – Supply Chain Clerk Vacancies
- Grade 12 / Matric
- No experience required
- Basic knowledge of supply chain duties and procedures
- Ability to operate a computer and capture data
- Understanding of Public Service legislation
- Good communication and language skills
- Planning and organising skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records
Knowledge & Skills Required
Candidates should have:
- Basic supply chain management understanding
- Competence in MS Office
- Ability to handle documents and follow workflow procedures
- Good verbal and written communication
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Skills in working with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As part of the Supply Chain Clerk Vacancies, successful applicants will:
- Maintain and update asset records and registers
- Issue furniture, equipment, and accessories
- Identify obsolete or redundant equipment
- Maintain supplier databases and register new suppliers
- Request and receive quotations
- Capture specifications on LOGIS or similar system
- Place purchase orders
- Issue and receive bid documents
- Provide logistical and secretariat support during bid processes
- Verify goods received from suppliers
- Maintain a register of goods issued and received
- Support end users with procurement needs
