Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the Novus Print 2025 Apprenticeship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a Grade 12 certificate
  • Have Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
    • Minimum of 50% for Mathematical Literacy
  • Attach your matric certificate or latest academic results
  • Have a technical interest or foundation (advantageous)
  • Be willing to commit to the full 36-month training duration

Key Duties and Responsibilities

During the Novus Print 2025 Apprenticeship, successful applicants will:

 Phase 1

  • Complete 3–4 months of structured theoretical training at a registered training academy.

 Phases 2 to 4

  • Participate in 26–30 months of core experiential training at Novus Print in Montague Gardens.

 Final Phase 

  • Prepare for and complete the trade test in your chosen field (e.g., Lithography Press, Sheetfed Press, or Bookbinding).

Please note: There is no guaranteed permanent employment after completion of the programme. While this programme does not guarantee permanent employment, it serves as a valuable entry point into the dynamic world of printing and manufacturing.
