Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Youth Employment Programme 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Aged 18 – 29 years.
  • Must have passed Matric.
  • Must currently be unemployed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.

Knowledge & Skills Required

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As part of the Youth Employment Programme 2025, successful candidates will:

  • Participate in classroom-based training.
  • Gain hands-on experience through on-the-job retail store training.
  • Learn essential customer service and checkout processes.
  • Work closely with store teams to understand retail operations.
  • On completion, receive a NQF Level 2 Checkout Operator Occupational Qualification.
