Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the YES Youth Opportunity:

  • Aged 18–28 years old.
  • Minimum Grade 10, Matric preferred.
  • Available for a 12-month fixed-term contract.
  • Should not have been employed continuously by one employer for more than 1 year.
  • Not studying full-time during the year of employment.
  • Not previously participated or registered on the YES programme.
  • Accommodation and transportation at applicant’s own expense, if applicable.
  • Preference given to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Participants of the YES Youth Opportunity will:
