Minimum Requirements

To succeed as a Virgin Active Service Ambassador, you must have:

  • Matric qualification or an NQF Level 4 certificate (or equivalent).
  • Successful completion of Reception Academy.
  • Good understanding of digital platforms.
  • Knowledge of Virgin Active exercise experiences.
  • Understanding of the customer journey and desired member experience.
  • Familiarity with club rules, operational standards, and safety protocols.
  • At least 12 months’ experience in a face-to-face customer-facing role.
  • Proven ability to handle member queries effectively.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Digital engagement knowledge.
  • Ability to build relationships and retain members.
  • Professional communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Passion for exercise and wellness.
  • Adherence to safety and hygiene protocols.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Virgin Active Service Ambassador, you will:

Front of House Operations

  • Welcome members and manage access to the club.
  • Share relevant information with staff, members, and visitors.
  • Ensure operational standards, policies, and administrative processes are followed.

Member Engagement

  • Deliver outstanding member experiences to meet satisfaction targets.
  • Promote digital and online fitness offerings.
  • Encourage participation in fitness events and initiatives.
  • Resolve member complaints promptly and effectively.

Floor Experience Management

  • Promote safe exercise practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and enforce club rules.
  • Monitor adherence to health and safety protocols.

Training and Development

  • Participate in continuous learning opportunities.
  • Stay updated on Virgin Active products, services, and platforms.

Important Notes

  • A valid First Aid Level 1 certificate is highly beneficial.
