During the Unilever YES Programme Internship, participants will rotate across multiple business functions, gaining exposure to Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, IT, Customer Development, Communications, and more. This is a hands-on experience that accelerates your readiness for a professional career.

Minimum Requirements

  • South African citizen, aged 18 – 34 years
  • Currently unemployed and not studying full-time
  • Completed Matric certificate (Grade 12)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications are advantageous
  • No more than 2 years of prior work experience
  • Commitment to the full 12-month Unilever YES Programme Internship
  • Must not have participated in a YES Programme previously
  • Strong academic record, computer literacy, and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a professional environment

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Understanding of business processes and workplace professionalism
  • Knowledge of MS Office and digital tools
  • Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and curiosity

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Participants in the Unilever YES Programme Internship will:

  • Customer Development: Build strong retailer relationships and drive sales.
  • Marketing: Support brand building, campaigns, and consumer engagement.
  • Supply Chain: Assist in sourcing, production, and delivery operations.
  • Finance: Support budgeting, reporting, and compliance tasks.
  • IT: Aid in digital projects and technology solutions.
  • Human Resources: Contribute to talent management and employee engagement.
  • Communications: Assist with internal and external corporate communication.
  • Culinary & Mechanical Engineering: Support product demos, webinars, and engineering projects.
  • Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE): Help implement safety and environmental systems.
