Hire Resolve is seeking ambitious and motivated SAICA Trainee Accountants to join their medium-sized firm of Registered Auditors and Chartered Accountants in Hillcrest, Durban. This is a 36-month contract opportunity starting in 2026, offering a structured pathway to becoming a Chartered Accountant (CA).

Key Responsibilities

As a SAICA Trainee, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing audit and non-audit tasks to meet a minimum 85% productivity rate monthly.
  • Preparing client deliverables such as Annual Financial Statements (AFS), management letters, certificates, and minutes.
  • Assisting managers in identifying material issues.
  • Completing tax returns and supporting other accounting functions.
  • Communicating professionally with clients and upholding ethics.
  • Exercising professional judgment and managing personal performance.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for this SAICA Trainee role:

  • Matric/Grade 12 with strong results.
  • SAICA-accredited degree completed or to be completed by end of 2026 (National Diplomas not accepted).
  • Must be starting or continuing CTA in 2026.
  • Commitment to passing ITC and APC exams within prescribed attempts.
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
  • Willingness to travel for up to 4 weeks and work overtime during peak periods.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional presentation, and interpersonal ability.
