Job Overview

The Department of National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) Internships Programme 2026–2028 offers an exciting opportunity for unemployed South African youth to gain valuable work experience in the public sector. This Internships Programme aims to empower graduates and TVET learners by equipping them with real-world skills in Finance and Human Resources (HR) while contributing to South Africa’s justice system.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Internships Programme, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must be unemployed and have never participated in any internship or learnership programme.
  • Must have no criminal convictions or pending cases.
  • For TVET learners: Currently studying towards a qualification that requires in-service training.
  • For graduates: Hold a qualification from a university or university of technology.

Specific academic qualifications required:

  • Finance Internship: N6 Certificate in Finance or related qualification.
  • Human Resources Internship: N6 Certificate in Human Resource Management or related qualification.

Important Notes

  • The Internships Programme is a once-off opportunity. Applicants who previously participated in any NPA internship will not be considered.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit certified copies of qualifications and ID.
  • Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
