Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences or related fields (Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Political Science, Development Studies, etc.)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams
- Interest in human development, social innovation, or organisational culture
Skills Required
- Hands-on experience in human capital, including employee experience, learning, and development
- Exposure to strategic projects that connect social sciences with business outcomes
- Critical thinking and problem-solving applied to real-world challenges
- Data-driven decision-making and insight generation

Key Responsibilities
Human Capital Support (Year 1):
- Participate in initiatives to improve employee experience, learning, and inclusion
- Contribute to the design and execution of the graduate programme
- Work on projects that influence how people grow, connect, and thrive at FirstRand
Rotational Experience (Year 2):
- Rotate across different business units and Human Capital divisions within the FirstRand Group, including RMB and FNB
- Gain exposure to strategic projects and learn how social sciences drive business value
- Deepen understanding of organisational culture, risk, and social impact
General Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent service that exceeds expectations
- Plan and execute tasks efficiently and provide accurate updates
- Apply insights to identify improvement opportunities and innovative solutions
- Collaborate and share knowledge to enhance learning and growth
