Minimum Requirements
- Matric certificate (Essential)
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Entry-level experience; internship or vacation work in a finance environment is a bonus
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and systems
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Graduate Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and posting journal entries
- Reconciling general ledger accounts
- Supporting monthly and yearly financial close processes
- Managing and updating the fixed asset register
- Handling asset acquisitions, disposals, and transfers
- Ensuring asset lifecycle compliance and accurate depreciation tracking
- Managing and reconciling corporate cards (Amex, fleet cards)
- Liaising with cardholders to resolve discrepancies
- Ensuring all transactions meet internal financial controls
- Assisting with internal and external audits
- Preparing financial reports and schedules
- Supporting tax and statutory compliance
- Participating in finance-related projects and process improvements
