Minimum Requirements

  • South African citizen with valid ID
  • Age between 18 and 35 years
  • A Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in fields such as Accounting, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or Auditing.
  • No prior internship or learnership participation
  • Digital skills considered an advantage

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Computer literacy and proficiency in information systems
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work and learn in a structured municipal environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As part of the Emfuleni FMG Internship, candidates will:

  • Participate in work-based learning across municipal finance units
  • Assist in budgeting, auditing, and risk management tasks
  • Complete the accredited MFMP training programme
  • Gain exposure to real municipal financial processes
  • Rotate through key financial departments to broaden experience
