The Department of Tourism Internships are designed to give graduates exposure to multiple disciplines, allowing them to gain real-world skills in line with government operations.
Minimum Requirements
- South African graduates or postgraduates who are currently unemployed
- Tertiary qualification in one of the listed fields of study
- Must not have previously participated in any internship programme
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Strong knowledge in your chosen field of study
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Adaptability to a professional work environment
- Basic computer literacy and report-writing skills
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with projects and tasks aligned to your field of study
- Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and training sessions
- Support daily operational and administrative activities
- Contribute to improving departmental processes and service delivery
- Gain hands-on experience while learning from experienced staff
