Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
  • No prior experience required
  • Knowledge of:
    • Unemployment Insurance Act & Regulations
    • Unemployment Insurance Contributions Act
    • Public Financial Management Act (PFMA)
    • Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)
    • Department of Labour & UIF policies
    • Treasury Regulations
    • Batho Pele Principles

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Interpersonal and client service skills
  • Strong telephone etiquette and communication skills
  • Computer literacy and operational system knowledge
  • Ability to interpret UIF and Contributions Acts
  • Conflict management, time management, and analytical skills

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide screening services to clients and employers
  • Process UIF benefit applications efficiently
  • Register payment continuation forms
  • Perform administrative functions in line with departmental policies
  • Deliver excellent customer service
