The UUW Learnership Programme 2025 offers an exciting opportunity for unemployed South African youth to gain practical and theoretical training in Water & Waste Water Treatments-uThukela Water, together with its Operations Division, presents a fully accredited 12-month learnership programme at NQF Level 2.

Training takes place at Jozini and Richards Bay Water Treatment Plants in KwaZulu-Natal, combining classroom sessions and real-world experience.

Minimum Requirements

To apply for the UUW Learnership Programme 2025, you need to meet these requirements:

  • Be unemployed and between 18–35 years old
  • Have completed Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science
  • Reside in rural areas of uMkhanyakude or uMzinto District Municipality
  • NOT have any qualification at NQF Level 5 or higher
  • Willingness to participate in uninterrupted, full-time training for the entire 12-month duration is essential.

  • This opportunity is open only to applicants from uMngeni-uThukela Water service areas
  • Candidates who already hold qualifications at NQF Level 5 or above will be excluded.
