The learnership programme develops learners’ competencies in procurement and supply management, enabling them to coordinate contracts, manage suppliers, and monitor procurement schedules efficiently.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria for the Supply Chain Practitioner Learnership:

  • Must be unemployed
  • Must not be enrolled in any institution or registered in any other learnership programme
  • Must not hold a completed post-matric qualification
  • Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics Literacy and English (minimum Level 4 in all subjects)
  • Must submit SAQA / NLRD verification report
  • South African citizen with a valid ID
  • Aged 18–35 years (in line with NSDSIII)
  • People with Disabilities (PWDs):
    • Deaf or hard of hearing applicants must provide their own interpreters
    • Proof of disability required (Doctor’s Certificate/report or signed ITRDD13)

Knowledge and Skills Required

Learners in the Supply Chain Practitioner Learnership will gain:

Key Duties and Responsibilities

During the Supply Chain Practitioner learnership programme, learners will:

  • Monitor and evaluate procurement and supply performance
  • Attend classes and participate in discussions and activities
  • Complete assignments, projects, and practical logbooks
  • Write assessments to evaluate knowledge and understanding
