Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- At least 5 months’ experience operating POS/till systems within a retail environment
- Proven experience in retail sales, including work on the sales floor and cash counter
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Solid understanding of customer service principles relevant to retail pharmacy sales
- Knowledge of stock receiving procedures and merchandising standards
- Computer literacy, including handling multiple payment methods such as cash, cards, and vouchers
- Bilingual fluency preferred in Afrikaans and English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Friendly and engaging personality
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Process customer payments and balance sales and receipts according to Shoprite procedures
- Maintain and update product knowledge, including awareness of new products and promotions
- Restock shelves and organize the sales floor to company standards
- Conduct regular price audits and correct discrepancies
- Uphold visual merchandising and housekeeping standards
- Handle customer queries promptly and escalate issues when necessary
- Participate in team activities to support a positive and productive work environment
