Key Responsibilities

Sample Reception and Support

  • Assist with sorting and distributing samples according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Support sample registration (logging) and respond to basic queries under supervision.
  • Receive samples and verify that the information matches the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
  • Prepare and scan patient forms onto the laboratory scanning system (Occulus) following SOPs.
  • Assist in dispatching specimens and monitor courier progress to ensure samples are delivered for processing.

Customer Service and Stakeholder Interaction

  • Maintain professional customer care principles while interacting with medical staff and other stakeholders.

Workplace Standards

  • Perform basic housekeeping duties.
  • Assist with preparation and cleaning of IT equipment according to SOPs.
