Job Opening: Cleaner (X2 Posts)

Salary: R107 196 per annum Department: Groote Schuur Hospital

Qualifications:

Ability to read and write
Appropriate experience in cleaning and waste management
Inherent requirement of the job: ability to render a shift duty and rotate in different departments
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
- Must have knowledge of routine cleaning processes, and handling cleaning equipment
- Ability to effectively communicate in at least two of the three official languages spoken in the Western Cape

Responsibilities:

Responsible for cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing
Deep cleaning of toilets and waste management
Maintenance of general neatness and hygiene in the assigned area
Effectively execute terminal cleaning in isolated areas, ICU, etc.
Ensure that cleaning equipment is clean after usage and securely stored
Effectively use cleaning agents and manage elementary stock control
Provide optimal support to supervisor and colleagues
