Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Financial Internship 2025, candidates must have:

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate
  • A BCom in Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business Management, or Supply Chain Management
  • OR a National Diploma in the above-mentioned fields
  • Computer literacy (MS Office applications)
  • No prior work experience required
  • Preference will be given to residents of uPhongolo

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Basic understanding of financial systems and GRAP standards
  • Report writing and presentation abilities
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As part of the Financial Internship 2025, the intern will assist with:

  • Implementing GRAP and budget reforms
  • Preparing VAT reconciliations
  • Assisting in monthly and annual financial statement preparation
  • Supporting financial and performance reporting
  • Handling expenditure and revenue management tasks
  • Assisting in supply chain and procurement processes
  • Helping develop and implement financial and budget policies
  • Performing additional tasks assigned by the CFO
