Minimum Requirements
- Relevant Accounting or Finance qualification, or currently studying towards one
- 6–12 months of finance or accounting experience (internships or learnerships included)
- Basic knowledge of accounting systems (SAP experience is a plus)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, spreadsheets, data capturing)

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional and confident telephone manner
- Comfort using computers, especially Excel
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and develop reconciliation skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
Key Responsibilities
The Financial Clerk job 2026 will support the finance team by performing:
- Preparation and completion of general ledger reconciliations
- Capturing and processing weekly and monthly journal entries
- Reconciliation of stock accounts and investigating discrepancies
- Ensuring clearing accounts are accurate and up to date
- Reviewing and verifying data before posting to the system
- Document verification and accurate data capture
- Resolving finance-related queries within agreed timeframes
- Communication with suppliers and internal teams
- Assisting with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required
- Preparing monthly Profit & Loss reports
- Analysing monthly variances and general ledger accounts
