Minimum Requirements

  • Tertiary degree in BSc Computer Science, B.IT, Informatics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
  • Proven experience in data integration and transformation.
  • Experience in IT services or FinTech-related industries.
  • Strong understanding of data analysis, modelling, and surfacing techniques.
  • Proficient in SQL, SSIS, stored procedures, queries, and database scripting.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, QlikView, or Tableau.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Data cleaning and integrity checking expertise.
  • Ability to construct complex data queries from multiple sources.
  • Experience with reporting tools like Excel or similar software.
  • Familiarity with iterative testing, debugging, and refactoring.
  • Advantageous: knowledge of Python, APIs, ETL, Data Warehousing, R, MATLAB.
  • Experience in Asset Management or Financial Services is a plus.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Configure and implement solutions for multiple clients.
  • Understand client business requirements, particularly in research and investment processes.
  • Build end-to-end data service solutions.
  • Provide 2nd Tier support and enhancement services to clients.
  • Manage client-specific data requirements in financial markets.
  • Develop, construct, test, and maintain databases and large-scale data architectures.
  • Ensure data architecture aligns with client business needs.
  • Utilize scripting languages to integrate systems efficiently.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance data reliability, quality, and efficiency.
  • Automate workflows using process flow tools.
  • Collaborate with Development teams to address new functionality and issues.
  • Create user interfaces for clients to upload and manage data effectively.
