Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- At least 6 months’ cashier or till operation experience
- Computer literacy, including MS Office
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
- Basic understanding of customer service principles
- Willing and able to work retail hours
Key Responsibilities
Selected candidates for the cashier positions 2026 will be responsible for:
- Processing customer transactions accurately using the Dis-Chem operating system
- Managing cash flow, including daily takings and banking procedures
- Ensuring all line voids, price changes, and authorizations are approved by supervisors
- Handling loyalty cards, including those of partner programmes (Discovery Health Care, Medihelp Lifestage, Momentum Multiply, Legacy Lifestyle, ABSA Rewards, eBucks)
- Establishing professional relationships with customers and addressing queries
- Reporting customer complaints or compliments to supervisors or store management
- Adhering to customer turnover hourly rates and current sales promotions
- Following company policies, SOPs, and security procedures to prevent inaccuracies or fraud
- Maintaining a safe environment for colleagues and customers
Skills Required
Essential Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of cash register operations and maintaining cash drawers
- Accurate processing of sales, refunds, and payments
- Strong English communication (oral and written)
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills

- Trustworthy and honest
